10 Worst Fox Marvel Movies

5. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

To its credit, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a slightly more enjoyable movie than its predecessor, though that's not quite high praise. It was released only two years after Fantastic Four released to less-than-stellar reviews and far from earth-shattering box office numbers, yet its mild success meant a sequel was inevitable.

Unfortunately, the sequel feels like few lessons were learned from the first film's failures, the final product enough of a goofy mess that it killed any chance at another sequel. What high points it has, like Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, or the Silver Surfer himself, are essentially lost amidst the cringe-inducing movie they're a part of.

Jessica Alba still feels completely miscast, Doctor Doom is a complete joke, and - lest we forget - the film's interpretation of Galactus as a giant cloud is infamous for how abysmal it is. And even with all that going against it, it still managed to produce something even worse: Reed Richards' dance scene.
