10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2018

Helen Mirren's foray into the world of horror for a classic ghost story isn't one worth remembering. Focussing on the intriguing true story of Sarah Winchester, Mirren plays the quirky widow who lives in the constant renovation of her Victorian mansion in an attempt to appease spirits that haunt her family. The ghosts are of those that have been killed by the Winchester rifle, Sarah's heart heavy the contribution to death and destruction that her family have caused.

The reality of the story is a fascinating one, and one that should have provided an original, dark tale for a horror movie to capitalise on. Instead, however, we got a dry, jump-scare laden bundle of cliches, that was about as fun to watch as two hours worth of Cowboy Builders reruns.

Everything was there in the story for something deeply disturbing, but Winchester is just a contradictory mess stipulated with latex-clad monsters jumping out and then subsequently wandering off again afterwards. Not even Mirren could save this mess.
