Jill St. John completes a staggering run of form for Diamonds Are Forever, with four performances from the movie proving shambolic enough to make it onto this list. St. John's character of Tiffany Case can be seen as a microcosm of the film's flaws - although visually polished and eager to impress, both she and the movie display too much glitz (and not enough grit) for the Bond Franchise. It's hard to imagine what the casting directors were thinking when selecting St. John who, although by no means the worst actor on this list, found herself fully unsuited to the series. Her braying American delivery would fit in perfectly with a contemporary 1970s sitcom, but not the unique mix of politeness, fury and wit which makes up the dialogue of the 007 universe.
