7. "Did You Notice The Sign In Front Of My House..." - Pulp Fiction
Bad dialogue? In a Quentin Tarantino movie? Surely not! Actually this is probably more a case of the actor being at fault, as Tarantino's mistake was casting himself in the role of Jimmy. You see, fantastic director though he may be, when it comes to performing on the other side of the camera, ol' QT is... well, awful When Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vince (John Travolta) arrive at his house with a dead body in tow, Jimmy is not best pleased an utters the infamous line: "when you came pulling in here, did you notice the sign in front of my house that said 'dead n*gger storage'?" Tarantino has been criticised for his liberal use of the N word many times - and it seems so much worse here considering the character is white... and he's playing him! - but this just fails on so many other levels too. At the end of the day it's never a good idea to give already dodgy lines to someone with all the screen presence and natural charisma of a wardrobe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBXiXgxfNtg
