6. "Captain, It'd Be My Genuine Pleasure" - The Avengers
This one isn't TOO bad really - more an example of a bombing one-liner you might expect to have a bit more panache about it. Towards the end of Joss Whedon's fist Avengers flick, Captain America, Black Widow and a newly un-brainwashed Hawkeye find themselves up against the ground forces of the Chitauri, and Cap asks the bowman if he can handle things alone for a while. Barton looks Rogers square in the eye and says, "Captain..." (stops to adjust his arrows, the score swells a touch, this is gonna be a good comeback!) .."it'd be my genuine pleasure." Okay... that's it? It'll be your pleasure to fight the aliens? Good to know I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JObwAIzl9u4
