10 Worst Live-Action Superhero Fights In Cinema History
4. Storm Vs. Toad - X-Men
X-Men was released back in 2000, and is credited with bringing the superhero genre back into the realms of big-budget blockbusters, and for that, we will be eternally grateful.
For the most part, X-Men has aged incredibly well, due in no small part to the brilliant performances delivered by series mainstays Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, to name but a few.
There are some truly outstanding action sequences, as well. It's X-Men done right, from casting to writing, from cinematography to special effects.
That said, one of the movie's fight scenes stands out as disappointing.
Toad, portrayed by the inimitable Ray Park, shows down with Halle Berry's Storm near the film's conclusion, and it started off quite well.
With Toad using his abilities to maximum effect, he manages to prove a worthy match for Storm, resulting in a visually interesting match-up that was entertaining to watch.
Then, Storm decides to use her powers properly, and blasts Toad out of a window. She then zaps him with lightning, but not before the cringe-inducingly rigid delivery of the line, "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else."
