10 Worst Marvel Superhero Movies Ever

3. Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider
Columbia Pictures

When the best part of your movie is Nic Cage's face melting off as he screams in agony, you know you're in for something weird.

Showing the story of stuntman Johnny Blaze as he becomes the demon-powered Ghost Rider, this movie was strange. It was semi-intentionally funny while in a horror setting, with the two styles clashing in a way that just did not work. It was surprisingly boring and slow, and no one in the movie really stood out. The special effects were cool for the time, but that was the only positive you could really take from it.

An even more forgettable sequel came out a few years later, and eventually, they just stopped using the character, letting the rights revert back to Marvel, and having the Robbie Reyes version of the character appear in Agents of SHIELD.

The only memorable part of the film was that Nic Cage played Ghost Rider, and since it added negatively to the debate on whether or not Cage was a good actor, that probably isn't a good thing.
