5. Tony Flirts With Natasha - Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2 may not rank among anyone's favourite MCU movies, but it at least commits to cementing Tony Stark's troubled mental state during his infamous birthday party scene, where a wasted Tony ends up throwing down with War Machine (Don Cheadle).
A small but significant beat which was thankfully cut from the scene sees Tony relentlessly hitting on Natalie/Natasha, even letting her try on his Iron Man glove and blast an ice sculpture with the repulsor beam, much to Pepper's chagrin.
Given that the theatrical cut of Iron Man 2 already features way too much of Tony drooling over Natasha, this only increases the ick, even if Natasha herself is obviously only responding to the flirtation as part of her undercover assignment.
More than all this, though, the MCU really didn't need any sort of love triangle implication, and though it explains why Pepper is somewhat hostile towards Natasha in the movie itself, it's absolute not important enough to be worth including.
