10 Worst Movie Trailers Of All Time

1. Tiptoes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ukRdEVthmWM And yet nothing tops Tiptoes for the most abominable - if hilarious - movie trailer of all time, and one that sort of makes us want to watch the film if only out of morbid curiosity. Gary Oldman playing a midget is absurd enough, but what really makes this trailer the worst of all time is its atrocious voice-over which, along with the ridiculously faux-inspirational music, tries to paint the film as a warm, earnest family drama. The entirety of the trailer has us simply shaking our head, asking, "Why?" - how could any of the actors signed on thinking this was a worthy project? The voice-over is so insistent, painting the film as an Oscar-worthy drama, ending with the most ludicrous endorsement of any film we have ever heard - "Command performances from Kate Beckinsale, Matthew McConaughey, Patricia Arquette, and in the role of a lifetime, Gary Oldman". The cringe-inducing piano music, the horribly earnest tone, the soft voice-over - this is a trailer that gets everything wrong, though to be fair, it had me wanting to chase a copy of the film down as soon as possible, so perhaps it's genius in the worst sort of way? Which movie trailers do you hate? Let us know in the comments below.
