10 Worst Movie Trailers Of All Time

6. Colombiana

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCxPLlFWdFo The award for the most irritating trailer of recent years has to go to Colombiana, a watchable if also totally forgettable action thriller starring Zoe Saldana that did itself no favours with this mind-numbing trailer. A great trailer can come up with a cracking tagline that has us re-quoting it months before the film is even released, and a bad one will insist upon itself so much that it inspires derisive laughter. So is the case of this trailer, which repeats the phrase "Never forget where you came from" more times than we care to count, shoving it down our throat so eagerly that the distributors are clearly desperate to make it an inspirational, kick-ass quote they can slap over posters, DVD covers and so on. Needless to say, it doesn't work because it's incredibly trite, unimaginative, and is poorly inserted into the trailer with a complete lack of fuss. I remember seeing this trailer in the cinema for the first time and howling with laughter, because I couldn't believe that an editor thought that this was sufficient to show off to the studio. It's like some 15-year-old on his home computer put it together.
