10 Worst Movie Trailers Of The 2010s
7. Holmes And Watson
Holmes and Watson was nothing but an insult to the work of Arthur Conan Doyle, and it’s easy to see why based on this trailer alone.
In just over two minutes, this brief look at Holmes and Watson reveals how misjudged the film is. Not one frame is even close to being funny. The attempts at humour are cringe-worthy rather than amusing.
The editing is also abysmal. The use of ‘The Boys Are Back in Town’ by Thin Lizzy feels completely out of place, and the loud-quiet dynamic is painfully cliché. It’s almost as if the trailer is trying to be as unoriginal as possible.
Unsurprisingly, Holmes and Watson was a critical and commercial failure. Indeed, it’s hard to believe anyone paid to see the movie at all.
