10 Worst Movies Starring Wrestlers

8. No Holds Barred

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ReWhx8X3iY Ah, No Holds Barred, a movie that the WWE attempted to use to legitimise their "sport" in the eyes of popular culture, a move that resolutely failed because the film was on every conceptual level an absolute pile of garbage. The film has Hulk Hogan playing a popular professional wrestler - much of a stretch as it is for Hogan - called Rip, who a rival company is trying to lure away from his current line of employment. Numerous nefarious means are employed to try and entice him over, such as sending a woman to seduce him, but it doesn't work, and so a network rival actually suggests having her raped. Yes, what should have been a light-hearted film about wrestling is an awkwardly tone-deaf one that's completely inappropriate for the target audience it was aimed at during WWF programming - 12-year-old boys. The film ends with the antagonist Zeus losing to Hogan's character before actually dying, while the film's release actually fed into a WWF storyline, culminating in a pay-per-view fight between Zeus and Hogan that was legendarily terrible. In short, nothing even loosely related to this film got out alive.
