10 Worst Netflix Movies

4. Father Of The Year

Slapstick humor is a tightrope act that requires the deft hand of a comedic master to really, truly get right, especially if you're making it the main focus of an entire movie, and Father Of The Year was... not made by the deft hand of a master, or even the clumsy but well meaning hand of an amateur. I sincerely doubt whoever wrote this movie was even using their hands to begin with.

This tale of two fathers who are betted against each other to see who could win in a fight, who then proceed to take the bet way too seriously, is oppressively unfunny. Every joke you think is coming when you watch the movie happens exactly at the timestamp you place your bet on, but oddly enough, nowhere near as funny as you think it's gonna be.

The film doesn't even have it in its system to be bad or unfunny in interesting ways, instead coming off like yet another Adam Sandler vehicle with all the clichés that comes with such a moniker.
