10 Worst Performances In MCU History (So Far)
4. Liv Tyler - The Incredible Hulk
The MCU's one and only attempt at a solo outing for Bruce Banner's big green hero perhaps rather unfairly comes under fire more than any other Marvel Studios flick outside of The Dark World. After all, some elements were deemed valuable and intriguing enough to hold onto in later instalments, with the likes of William Hurt's Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt" Ross and even more recently Abomination (played brilliantly by the thoroughly creepy Tim Roth) both popping back up as time has rolled by.
But while these two powerhouse portrayals were seen as too strong to leave in the ground, the same sadly could not be said for Liv Tyler's Betty Ross, Banner's flame from that early MCU entry. On top of not really capturing lightning in a bottle when it came to her chemistry with former Hulk Edward Norton, a thinly written part was soon ran into a wall by a turn devoid of any real energy or passion from Tyler.
With talks doing the rounds of Tyler potentially being in line for a return to the MCU fold in the upcoming She-Hulk series, here's hoping the Lord of the Rings icon can banish the memories of her only (and rather limp) MCU appearance to date.
