10 Worst Sci-Fi Movie Characters Of All Time

2. Shane Dyson

Passengers Chris Pratt Jennifer Lawrence

The Transformers movies aren't well-known for creating complex human characters, and while they may rely a bit too much on huge explosions, they are regardless fun and entertaining. That said, there may not be a high bar in the movies' characters, but Shane Dyson would have better served the franchise had he been stepped on by a Decepticon.

The guy was dating Tessa Teager, the daughter of Cade Yeager, as played by Mark Wahlberg. There are always some interesting and humorous dynamics between a father and the guy dating his daughter, but in the case of Transformers: Age of Extinction, it was just creepy.

Tessa was only 17-years-old, and she had been seeing Shane for some time before the movie began. Shane, on the other hand, was in his early 20s. When Tessa's dad called him on this obviously disturbing fact, Shane was ready for him.

He pulled out a laminated card he'd made, which detailed the law that made it perfectly fine for him to date an underage girl. This is a guy who carried around a legal justification so he could nail an underage girl. It was decidedly nasty, and after his time in this movie, he never reappeared in another Transformers film.
