10 Worst Superhero Movie Posters
5. Aquaman
The most recent addition on this list, the poster for DC's Aquaman just recently premiered ahead of its Comic-Con panel and boy, is it not good.
Everything on the poster looks as if it has been cropped out of another image with all the finesse of a child cutting a picture out of a magazine. From all of the sea life in the background, to the harsh sunlight shining through the ocean, to Momoa himself, to the ledge he is perched upon, everything has been very amateurishly copy-and-pasted together.
For a film that is trying to singlehandedly turn the fate of the entire DCEU around, it's an incredibly poor first step. Director James Wan has talked extensively about how immersive of a world he and his team are working to make with Atlantis, so why not at least tease that here? Why is Aquaman seemingly just standing against the most generic underwater backdrop photoshop had to offer?
As if the poster wasn't bad enough, it features a real stinker of a tagline with "Home is Calling". That's about as generic as humanly possible and does absolutely nothing to actually sell this film.
