9. Simba Refuses To Return - The Lion King
At the beginning of the film, Simba is portrayed as an unruly cub, frequently disobeying his father and entering areas that are off-limits to the pride.
Scar enacts a plan to rid the pride of his brother and nephew so that he can ascend to the throne himself. Though he fails to kill Simba, he does manage to kill Mufasa. Convincing the young cub that his father's death was his fault, Scar warns Simba never to return to the Pride Lands.
After the hyena's failed to kill the cub, Simba is found dehydrated and starving by Timon and Pumbaa, a meerkat and a warthog respectively, and the trio form a particularly dysfunctional family in the jungle.
Many years later, Simba is shown to be fully grown. One day he must rescue his friends from a lioness that transpires to be Nala, his childhood best friend.
The two rekindle and fall in love, yet upon Nala explaining the perilous state that the Pride Lands had fallen into, including the imminent danger that his own mother is in, Simba refuses to return and runs away again.
When offered the opportunity to avenge his father, Simba's initial response is to sulk and storm off.
Don't know about you, but that seems pretty unforgivable.
