10 Worst Things Superman Has Ever Done In The Films

Since Superman Returns was meant to be a direct continuation of the original Superman films, by cutting out 3 & 4 and pretending that they never happened, they had to shift the narrative so that some of the events of Superman II connected the films together.

As the years have passed, Superman Returns has built a strong legacy for itself for being criminally underrated. The cast was very nicely put together, and Brandon Routh did a good job of playing Christopher Reeve, playing Superman.

So, when the film makes it clear that Lois Lane's son is in fact bestowed with superhuman strength and that he is the child of Kal-El, it connects the film to Superman II - where Lois and Clark got together once she realised he was Superman.

Though this might negate Donner's Superman II, which came out in tandem with Superman Returns and therefore is understandable, it does continue the story.

However, what this implies is that Clark wiped Lois's memory in Superman II and promptly left to go and see Krypton. It isn't the most Superman thing to leave her pregnant, albeit unknowingly, and presumably having no idea why - which was papered over by James Marsden's character of Richard in Superman Returns.

The issue raises many questions, the chief among them being surely a man with various different types of vision must have seen Lois was pregnant - and less commonly, how much is Lois getting from Superman in alimony?
