9. Rampage
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_Abe3A1Hos Most of Uwe Boll's films are filled with violence, blood and gore which honestly fits his persona quite well. Rampage however went a bit too far and was more 85 minutes of shooting and stabbing than a film with any sort of substance or plot. I'm not the kind of person to abhor violence and blood in films, hell I've seen a few amateur French horror films that have left me clutching my teddy with all the lights on. Rampage, however, goes over the top, even for Boll. It's not just that the violence was excessive, but that there's a lot more Boll could have done with the plot. The film's not as bad as his other "work" but he took a good idea and splashed it with a few bottles of blood in true Boll style. It seems that when Boll comes up with an idea for a film, he takes his train of thought through a slaughter-house first to ensure it's bloody enough. That being said, it's not the excessive and un-needed violence that makes the film bad. It's the fact that Boll had a somewhat good idea and completely ignored it and didn't develop it at all. A young adult who's tired of the world and being looked down on goes out on a killing spree and then frames his best friend. I'd watch it, it seems like it would be a quite good plot if developed more but Boll operates on a level that we don't understand yet. What we see as a B-grade movie with an ignored plot and more violence than is needed, Boll sees as a masterpiece.
