6. Norman Osborn's Apartment (Spider-Man)

Norman Osborn's (Willem Dafoe) apartment in Spider-Man is a pretty crappy excuse for an evil lair; though it has a pretty believable cover as it resides within a convincing (not to mention large) residence, Osborn's laziness - or perhaps his craziness - means that it would be extremely easy for any visitor to come across. Norman was seen to leave his Green Goblin mask in view in at least one instance, and this is just careless; what if he had an unexpected visitor? Norman seems to be a villain who, in his mania, just doesn't care. This becomes troublesome when his son, Harry (James Franco), tries to come to terms with his death in Spider-Man 2, and upon breaking the mirror (pictured above) in his father's home, discovers the truth behind his demise. All it took was someone clumsily breaking a mirror to change everything. More so than most of the megalomaniacs on this list, Norman just wasn't gathered mentally to actually build himself a decent lair.
