10 X-Men Characters That Deserve Their Own Movie

2. Quentin Quire

quintin Another great Grant Morrison creation to add onto the list; Quentin Quire first made his debut in New X-Men. Quire is gifted with one of the strongest telepathic minds ever, but his great skill has been put to waste on numerous occasions. The problem with Quire, is his rebellious streak. He has all the traits of a wannabe rebel, such as the pink hair, the punk fashion and the wicked tongue. During an opening day at Xavier€™s Institute, Quire led a massive riot against various teachers and pupils, managing to subdue both Xavier and Wolverine in the process. When Quire was eventually stopped though, it turned out the teenager was merely attempting to impress a girl in his class. Of course, in doing so, things took a rather tragic turn. It€™s only a small arc in Morrison€™s controversial New X-Men run, but it cements Quire as a unique character; he€™s a sarcastic brat with a power he abuses way too often. Since New X-Men, Quire has been fleshed out a little more, and he€™s easily one of the best things about Jason Aaron€™s Wolverine and the X-Men. His powers also range from being able to create some pretty sweet psychic shotguns, to entire constructs. In the miniseries Alpha and Omega, Quire imprisons his teacher Wolverine in a mind-scape that is mysterious, and ultimately dangerous. It's a decent little read, and it goes to show Quire's true potential. It begs the question though, why implement such a minor character into the X-Men cinematic universe? Well, the short arc €˜Riot at Xaviers€™ could make for a pretty appealing story if it was expanded a little bit more. It could have the potential to be turned into a great teen drama/comedy. Of course, it is wishful thinking for such a recent character like Quentin Quire to appear in his own movie, but it€™d be such a treat to see on the big screen.
