10 X-Men Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off
7. Nightcrawler
Another character from the world of the X-Men who wasn't officially part of the team. However, his appearance in X2 was just too cool to ignore. Portrayed by Alan Cumming, the teleporting mutant stole the show, and the biggest wish for the movie for many fans was that they used more of him and brought him back for later films. Sadly, that was not to be. X2 was arguably the best of the original X-Men trilogy, and there were generally few complaints about it, but more Nightcrawler would have been great. Nightcrawler actually died in the comics, but was later resurrected (or more accurately, resurrected himself), but it would be better to avoid relying too heavily on the more recent comics for a potential big screen flick, and do something original with him. An origin story, and something tailored to his abilities, could work.
