10 X-Men Characters Who Look Nothing Like The Movies

8. Sabretooth - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Sabretooth made his first live-action appearance in X-Men back in 2000, and while there were alterations made to his costume, Tyler Man still managed to look a lot like his comic book counterpart. He had the necessary muscle mass, and the makeup applied to him made him look like who he was playing.

The same could not be said for the character's second appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The character was modified heavily with a great deal of influence taken from the Origin comic book, which finally told the true story of Wolverine's origin.

He was played by Liev Schreiber, who looks nothing like Sabretooth in the comics. That's not to say he wasn't physically fit or anything, but he was a far cry from the surplus of muscles drawn on the character throughout his comic book history. That said, his biggest change was an overall lack of hair, which is something Sabretooth has in spades.

Schreiber had short-cropped hair, and technically, he wasn't even called Sabretooth in the movie. The only reason we know that's who he was supposed to be came from the similarities to the Origin books, his name of victor Creed, teeth, and claws. Outside of that, he could have been anyone, seeing as he looked nothing like Sabretooth from the books.
