10 X-Men: Days Of Future Past Problems Apocalypse Must Address
6. Beast's Powers
This was a major mistake on the part of everyone involved in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. X-Men: First Class rushed through Hank McCoy's transformation into Beast, but at least made it clear that the mutant's new look had changed him forever. That was until a very human looking Hank appeared in Bryan Singer's "inbetweenquel" a few years later. Turning Beast into a Hulk-like character who transforms back and fore at will completely misses the point of what makes this fan-favourite mutant so special. The same applies to Charles Xavier. The loss of his legs was a huge moment in X-Men: First Class, but here he was up and walking again. Professor X was admittedly without his powers and that played a big role in his story arc in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but Beast? It was pointless. To some extent, the damage has already been done as even if Hank has embraced his persona as Beast, knowing that he's able to go back to his human self whenever suits takes a lot away from the tragedy of the character. Of course, X-Men: Apoclaypse could potentially fix that with a second and completely permanent mutation like in the comics.
