5. Costumes
The X-Men movies have always disappointed fans when it comes to the costumes. Bland black leather dominated the first three movies, and the closest fans have got to seeing Wolverine's classic suit was in a deleted scene which was included on The Wolverine Blu-ray. Matthew Vaughn did at least offer up a version of the classic blue and yellow outfits in X-Men: First Class, but things moved back to black leather they went in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. In fairness, colourful costumes had no real place in the '70s set scenes given the fact that the X-Men had disbanded. Magneto did at least suit up in a so-so interpretation of his classic look, but it's now up to X-Men: Apocalypse to finally deliver what comic book fans have been waiting to see on the big screen for close to 15 years now. How faithful they should end up being to their comic book counterparts is debatable, but with the likes of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm (who has to have the Mohawk) all confirmed to be part of the X-Men, this is Singer's chance to create costumes which make these guys look like superheroes and erase a big mistake from all the previous movies.
