10 X-Men Mistakes The MCU Must Avoid
1. Use The Villains Wisely
We've already talked about too much of the spotlight being put on Magneto by Fox, but what about the other villains we've seen in the X-Men movies? Well, they've mostly sucked for the most part, with Apocalypse, the Sentinels, and Hellfire Club among the biggest disappointments over the years.
The X-Men boast perhaps the greatest rogues gallery in the comic books, and as well as those mentioned above, the likes of Mister Sinister, Mojo, and Mastermind could all be threats to not only this team of heroes, but the wider MCU as a while. Fox, meanwhile, completely screwed up those they did use, and failed to ever bring the rest to the big screen.
Whether it's the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or these singular big bads, Marvel Studios can't afford to screw up these villains, especially as moviegoers are unlikely to want to see more of Magneto.
Ultimately, these characters are every bit as important as how Wolverine and Jean Grey are portrayed, so we're having to remain hopeful that they're now messed up for a second time. In the hands of Marvel Studios, something tells us we'll get better portrayals, but they do have something of a spotty track record when it comes to villains (remember the likes of Malekith and Whiplash?).
