10 X-Men Mistakes The MCU Must Avoid
2. Take Advantage Of The Crazy Premise
The X-Men are awesome and should definitely be taken seriously, but Marvel Studios would also do well to take advantage of just how barmy the premise of this team is. They're mutants who live in a school together and have done everything from fighting an ancient cosmic force on the moon to battling an alien game show host, and even gigantic robots.
Fox's movies were kind of dull as everything was grounded in reality to some degree, and the comic book roots of these heroes and villains should be fully embraced when they return to the big screen.
The emergence of mutants should change this shared world forever, and bringing in crazy ideas like the X-Men hunting Sentinels or the gene-splicing Mister Sinister would benefit the MCU as a whole. There are plenty of game-changing ideas in the X-Men franchise which could shake up every big screen adventure we see moving forward.
One recent example is Krakoa, an island where the world's mutants live which has been declared its own nation, something we're sure Wakanda and The Avengers would take note of!
