10 X-Men Mistakes The MCU Must Avoid
7. Less Focus On Professor X And Magneto's Relationship
They're two great characters, but pretty much every X-Men movie has revolved around Charles Xavier and his relationship with Magneto, so it's now time for that to change. There's a lot that can be done with both of them on screen, but the heroes battling the Master of Magnetism is too familiar a sight at this point, and not a great way to kick off a rebooted version of the franchise.
Is there a fresh way to present Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? Possibly, but that's easier said than done at this point, and as for Professor X, would it hurt if he's left on the shelf for a while? The X-Men could easily start off as a team of teenagers who come together by themselves before being recruited by Charles further down the line.
It's going to be pretty damn hard for Feige to find a new interpretation on familiar concepts like Cerebro, the X-Mansion, and the X-Jet without this reboot feeling like a retelling of past movies, so holding off on bringing them back wouldn't be the worst thing in the world after Fox spent seven (yes, seven) different adventures focusing on their history and different ideals.
