10 X-Men Villains That Could Follow Apocalypse (And Who Should Play Them)
8. Brood Imperiatrix (Helena Bonham Carter)
If Fox really want to try something different, they could do far worse than introducing The Brood. This parasitic alien race look like the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, and are known to infect the human race with their eggs killing plenty of people in the process - in order to reproduce. In the comics, one of the leaders of this amoral race was the Brood Imperiatrix; an abnormally large, powerful and intelligent member of the species. The Brood Imperiatrix sought to spread her seed all over the galaxy, and controlled the hive mind of the species in order to do so. The cinematic X-Men would surely struggle against a large number of the Brood, especially since they are endowed with poisonous stingers and thick natural armour. This could make for a thrilling X-Men movie, with real stakes and a unique-within-the-franchise adversary. The Brood would probably be CGI creations, but youd need someone to voice the Imperiatrix. Helena Bonham Carters proven wicked tones (see: her Bellatrix Lestrange) could be a sinister addition to the character, bringing an extra layer of spine-tingling frightfulness to the movie.
