11 Actors Who Should Take Over Indiana Jones

Saldana has made a name for herself over the last decade-or-so playing physically demanding, badass roles. From Neytiri in Avatar, to Uhura in Stark Trek, to Gamora in the MCU, she has continuously demonstrated why she is a force to be reckoned with.

The most comparable of these to the role of Indiana Jones would have to be the way she has approached her take on Uhura for the rebooted Star Trek films. In taking over a pre-established role that was already beloved, Saldana has continuously taken creative risks and liberties with her performance that set her apart from her predecessor, while still having reverence for what has come before.

Her acting is continuously top-notch, she's never been one to shy away from an action sequence, and she knows to play in the world of blockbuster cinema and reboots. In many ways, her filmography reads like a stepping ladder leading up to a headlining role in an action franchise such as this. She would make for a perfect Indiana Jones and it would be wonderful to see Saldana finally out of the side role and truly leading a blockbuster franchise for once.
