3. Lorraine Destroys Everyone - Atomic Blonde
Atomic Blonde's third act kicks off with an absolutely barnstorming action sequence, as kick-a** MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) attempts to get a Stasi defector, Spyglass (Eddie Marsan), to safety, after he's been wounded by David Percival (James McAvoy), who at that moment reveals himself to be a double agent.
Broughton flees with Spyglass into a building, after which she faces off against numerous assailants on a stairwell and throughout the building, brutally dispatching them before only herself and a blonde-haired German assassin (Daniel Bernhardt) are left.
After a savage slugfest, she stabs him in the throat and leaves him for dead, but hilariously, he returns as Lorraine and Spyglass attempt to drive away, leaving her to finish the job by running him over.
And to top things off, the pair are then chased by more assassins, before their car is rammed into a river, where Spyglass drowns and Lorraine just narrowly escapes.
The entire sequence is beautifully brutal from start to finish, with insanely intense fight choreography and superbly slick direction, blending several takes into one apparently seamless whole.
