11. Captain America Trolls The Audience - Spider-Man: Homecoming

Pre-release, many reviewers boldly stated that Spider-Man: Homecoming concluded with the most pivotal and jaw-dropping post-credits scene in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As it turned out, the press were merely collaborating in Marvel's fantastic troll job, with the final scene merely featuring Captain America (Chris Evans) talking to the audience about the virtues of patience.

He says, "Hi, I'm Captain America, here to talk to you about one of the most valuable traits a soldier or student can have...patience. Sometimes patience is the key to victory, but sometimes it leads to very little, seems like it's not worth it, and makes you wonder why you waited so long for something so disappointing."

Though some might've been left infuriated after waiting more than 10 minutes for such an inconsequential scene, it was unquestionably a gloriously, hilariously meta commentary on the now-arbitrary nature of Marvel's "crucial" post-credits scenes.
