11 Bizarre Movie Accidents That Somehow Weren’t Cut

2. "We Ate Pancreas!" - Ferris Bueller

Ferris Bueller Pancreas
Paramount Pictures

As John Hughes' seminal classic heads towards its climax, brilliant malcontent poster boy Cameron Frye grumbles about his "day off", and Ferris Bueller's response (after his glorious look to camera, of course) contains a weird full-stop that makes absolutely no sense.

The exchange goes like this...

Ferris Bueller: Cameron, what have you seen today?Cameron: Nothing good.Ferris Bueller: Nothing - wha - what do you mean nothing good? We've seen everything good. We've seen the whole city! We went to a museum, we saw priceless works of art! We ate pancreas!

Yeah they went to a museum, but pancreas? What on Earth is he talking about.

Again, it's a case of a missing scene, which showed the kids being obnoxious in the Orangerie restaurant where they order sweet meats and are horrified to learn it's pancreas. Presumably someone must have seen this in the edit when that sequence was excised and just waved at it as "fine to go". Sloppy.
