There's a big industry secret in almost every movie that includes a close up of hands that you probably wouldn't even care to think about. In lots of those scenes, the hands used aren't the hands of the actor who shot the rest of the scene - sometimes they're stand-ins (or hand-ins) and other times it's the director doing it themselves to make sure they know it's done correctly.

You'd think that in those cases they'd make sure they matched something as important as skin colour between the actor and the stand-in. That should go without question, right?

Not in Die Hard 2, though. In the beginning airport sequence, when John McClane sits smoking and notices a trio of villains acting suspiciously and exchanging a package. Ridiculously, when one of the trio - Vondie Curtis-Hall - reaches down to grab a package, the hand we see in close-up belongs to a white actor. It seems they just reused later footage and thought nobody would notice.
