BB-8 is undeniably a fantastic addition to the Star Wars universe, a charming droid easily able to live up to the iconic appeal of R2-D2. At the end of the movie, we very briefly got to see BB-8 interact with R2 as he woke the classic droid from his "coma", but many fans were a little disappointed that we didn't get to see the two, erm, hanging out some more. Still, both will be back for Episode VIII surely, so there are plenty of chances for them to become fast buddies, and maybe even perform a scouting mission together for the resistance. Plus, this gives ample opportunity for some silly comedy shtick, where C-3PO feels like the third wheel as his long-time companion has found a new buddy. It'd be goofy as hell, but don't act like Star Wars is anything but.
