11 Deaths In Kids' Movies That Made You Want To Cry Like A Little Girl

6. Leslie - Bridge To Terabithia

Talking of dead children, how about we bitch about Bridge to Terabithia a little bit please? Starring a teeny tiny Josh Hutcherson and the girl who played Violet in the Tim Burton Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bridge of Terabithia is essentially the romance in Up: quiet, sad boy has his life turned around by exciting and imaginative girl. Except Bridge of Terabithia kills off the girl before they get the romance. Yet the death of one of the film's protagonists isn't enough. As if we weren't already upset, Josh Hutcherson blames himself, cue floods of tears. At this point you'll probably have to pause the film to run and get more tissues, because the pain doesn't stop there. Hutcherson€™s character has been raised a pretty devout Christian, whereas dead friend was an atheist, so he asks his dad €œis my friend going to Hell?€, cue so much sobbing. Bridge of Terabithia proves that more recent kid€™s films can be just as affecting as those you saw when you were a kid. Just make sure you watch it alone so that nobody can see you ugly-cry. (But at least the dog didn't die.)

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
