11. Toyah Willcox
A few of the actors included here actually had/have fairly distinguished music careers, and Toyah Willcox stands out more than most as one who, particularly in her early musical career, put out some genuinely good music. But her performances in Derek Jarman's early films are just so, so impressive that it's impossible not to wonder what she could have achieved if she'd stuck with it more. Check out Jubilee. She pretty much steals the show. Jarman was an expert at bringing the best out of raw, erotic actors, and Toyah is one of the best examples of that. She easily outshines the other punk icons in the film (Jordan, Adam Ant, etc.) and her heavily made-up image is one of the most iconic in Jarman's oeuvre. A very good musician, yes - but an even better actor.
