7. Hannah Spearritt
S Club 7 effectively started out as "actors". They were one of the earliest examples of a record label using television's influence to create pop stars that could be sold to children. The various S Club 7 series and films didn't exactly feature Oscar worthy performances, though, and it was the group's catchy-but-irritating numbers that ultimately grabbed them brief but huge success in the UK. After their dissolution, the group tried various things. Rachel Stevens, seen as having the most obvious "star" potential, started a solo singing career. Hannah Spearritt, however, became a full-time actor. Her most prominent role came in ITV's Primeval and, lo and behold, she was actually pretty damn good. OK, ITV dramas are hardly the breeding ground for exceptional acting chops, but Spearritt certainly showed plenty of promise. Her character on there was a hell of a lot less irritating than the one she played in the S Club 7 movies, anyway. Hopefully there's more to come from Spearritt.
