5. Lil Bow Wow
Bow Wow was (and is) a pretty average rapper. His gimmick when he started out - as Lil Bow Wow - was that he was young. He was basically a child rapper, making hip-hop safe for "the kids". It's the exact kind of marketing nonsense that shows major record labels are petrified of genuinely aggressive and subcultural music styles, and do everything to make it less confrontational. As he's grown older and dropped the "Lil", Bow Wow's middling flow has become scrutinised increasingly. He would be better sticking to a film career that shows just how gifted an actor he actually is. Like Mike may have been a pretty predictable kids' film, but Bow Wow certainly stole the show with his likeable and energetic performance. He was good enough to be chosen for a recurring role in HBO's Entourage too. Given HBO's track record with both comedy and drama, that's no mean feat.
