Why DC decided that Zach Snyder the visionary behind 300 and Sucker Punch was the perfect the man to lead them into the future is a mystery. Its true that he makes visually arresting movies, but he has absolutely no idea how to tell a story. This leaves his film achingly hallow as a result; a criticism that was rightfully aimed at Man Of Steel. Even after those complaints he was handed the sequel, which appears to be more of the same; moody visuals, an avalanche of CGI and everybody looking glum and serious. In addition to that hes directing Justice League Parts One and Two, as well as producing the other DC movies. Hes become their version of Kevin Feige basically, which sounds like a terrible idea all around. If they want a visual consultant hes not a bad choice; but if they want someone with a sense of story or characterisation hes a disaster. Anytime hes even attempted to get deep with characters (Sucker Punch) hes only shown just how poor his skills are. Having him supervise a whole universe - and digging to the core of what makes these characters tick - could be a massive disaster. How do you think DC has handled their cinematic universe so far?
