11 Hilariously Bad Death Scenes In Otherwise Awesome Movies

3. The Wicked Witch Of The West (Margaret Hamilton) - The Wizard Of Oz

The Scene: After the Wicked Witch of the West (Hamilton) sets fire to the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), Dorothy (Judy Garland) uses a bucket of water to extinguish him, but the water splashes onto the Witch and causes her to melt to death.

Why It's Hilariously Bad: As iconic as the movie and this scene is, it does beg one head-scratching question: why the Hell would the Wicked Witch keep buckets of water in her immediate vicinity if even a fairly modest splash could end her existence?

This combines with the knowing hamminess of Hamilton's iconic "I'm melting!" scream to make the scene half an unintended laugh riot and half good, silly fun.

Either way, it seems like such a bizarre logical oversight for what is otherwise a water-tight classic.
