11 Huge Issues That Might Ruin The DC Cinematic Universe

7. Zack Snyder Is A Hit-And-Miss Director

While Christopher Nolan has been involved with Man of Steel as a producer and Batman v Superman as an executive producer, it seems that the real father of the DCCU is director Zack Snyder, who conceives the story with David S. Goyer before they give scripting duties to another writer (except for MoS, which Goyer wrote himself). While Goyer's merits as a storyteller speak for themselves with his work on the Dark Knight trilogy, Snyder is much more hit-and-miss, and given how much of this franchise's success rests on his shoulders, it's a tad worrying. Snyder will be directing Batman v Superman and both Justice League films in addition to having already helmed MoS, and given how mixed his filmography is, it just doesn't seem like a very film base on which to build an epic franchise. While the Dark Knight saga had Christopher Nolan and the MCU has both Joss Whedon and the Russo Brothers acting as its go-to helmsmen, Snyder's works really can go either way, and while his stylistic flamboyance speaks for itself, sometimes his work is rightly accused of being all style and no substance. Hopefully the scripts will be water-tight enough that he really can't go wrong...
