11 Major VFX Errors You Won't Believe Were Missed

7. The Impossible Hole - Toy Story

X-Men: Apocalypse
Pixar

Pixar pushed the bar with Toy Story back in the mid-90s with the world's first competent fully computer-generated film. Since the original Toy Story they’ve gone on to continue wowing audiences the world over, but it is hard to believe we’ll ever have another watershed moment like we did with Toy Story again in this generation of cinema.

Almost everything is perfect in Toy Story, from the character designs, the sense of scale, space and even how Pixar get around showing most of the human faces, but it's not flawless and the big error here comes when Woody and Sid’s toys attempt to save Buzz.

Ducky and Legs need to distract Sid’s dog by ringing the doorbell, so this means they need to drop out of the light fixture at the front of the house, however, when doing so they pull it up. This should be impossible without the hole breaking or the light seal bending, but it just slides right on up even though it is clearly bigger.
