Despite the fact that Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer were absolutely terrible, a third movie in that franchise was discussed to the point that it is actually known what kind of things it would have included. The movie was set to introduce Franklin Richards - the mutant son of Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) who possesses massive reality-warping powers - and Black Panther (to be played by Djimon Hounsou) and would have focused very much on the relationship between Ben Grimm (the Thing) and his blind girlfriend Alicia Masters. Julian McMahon was also set to reprise his terrible portrayal of Doctor Doom. Writer Don Payne has also said that he "always loved the Inhumans, the Skrulls, the Puppet Master, and Annihilus and the Negative Zone," so any one of those potential characters or concepts could well have made an appearance. Fortunately, such was the level of failure of the previous two offerings, the third movie never happened. It's also worth mentioning that Peyton Reed was approached to potentially direct the first movie back in 2005, prior to Tim Story getting the gig, and his vision was to have Alexis Denisof as Reed Richards, Charlize Theron as Sue Storm, John C. Reilly as the voice of Ben Grimm, Paul Walker as Johnny Storm and Jude Law as Doctor Doom. Who knows if that would have been better or worse than the ones we actually got.
