7. The Dark Tower Is The Summer's Biggest Box Office Bomb

Can you believe that the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's monumental novel series The Dark Tower is hitting screens in just a matter of weeks?

Don't feel bad if the answer is no, because Columbia Pictures has done a horrendous job marketing it, and with so many other cinematic big-hitters releasing a week or two either side, it's tough to imagine the $60 million film pulling in much more than its budget.

Though the film was smartly budgeted at a lower price tag, which means it'll probably pull a better profit-to-cost ratio than King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, it's still likely to be the lowest-grossing tentpole of the summer, and Columbia will have only themselves to blame regardless of how it's reviewed.
