11 Most Compelling Pieces Of Evidence That Batman Triumphant Would Have Been Great

6. George Clooney Was Horribly Underrated As Batman

From one actor hamstrung by terrible scripting to another. George Clooney might be sorry for Batman, and probably regrets taking the slight detour away from the top of the A-List he was always destined to hit by starring in it, but he was actually perfectly cast.

When Val Kilmer unthinkably didn't return (he was great, shut up), the charming ER actor stepped in, fitting out the new rubber Bat-suit admirably, with a chin you could set your watch by. Unfortunately, Schumacher then made him say some of the most hokey lines in comic book history and turned Bruce Wayne into a sweater wearing douchebag.

In short, Clooney deserved another go, and given how well he blossomed into his acting chops after Batman & Robin (using it as a toxic experience to encourage his evolution), we were probably all robbed of his triumphant Ryan Reynolds-like second coming.
