Silent Hill is commonly considered the best movie adaptation of a video game – outside of Mortal Kombat, of course – and it’s easy to see why. It nails the atmosphere and feel of the games, it has some standout scenes like the Pyramid Head attack and it’s actually creepy in parts; if only the script had been better.

The movie wasn’t satisfied with just nicking creature designs from the games though, so the filmmakers added a unique demon of their own. They did a hell of a job too since the Janitor monster isn’t easily forgotten.

It’s heavily implied Colin molested the girl responsible for turning Silent Hill into a literal hell hole, so his torment makes sense. His eyes and legs are bound with barb wife, his skin is diseased and his touch is enough to spread decay around the environment. The most unsettling thing is how he flicks his black tongue around (which reminds you not to feel sorry for the creep).
