11 Most Horribly Disappointing Movie Supervillain Reveals
6. The Creeper (Jeepers Creepers)
Back in 2001, Jeepers Creepers felt like a breath of fresh air in the horror genre: it benefited from an extremely effective marketing campaign, and during its first half, built incredible tension by keeping us at arms length from the villain, known as the Creeper. Things take a turn for the worse when his true nature is revealed, after protagonist Trish manages to run the Creeper over several times, at which point a wing protrudes out of his jacket and begins flapping around, in one of the most disappointing and unintentionally funny reveals in recent horror movie memory.
From here, the pair meets a woman who explains to them that the Creeper is a creature who wakes up every 23rd spring for 23 days to feast on humans, and so any mystique surrounding the beast is pretty much gone. Plus, how does it make any sense for a winged creature to drive around in a beat-up old truck? Despite the cat being well and truly out of the bag, a second (and even worse) movie was somehow made, with a third also apparently in the early stages of production.
