7. Donald Trump Thought Christian Bale Was Batman

Sometimes when you're putting together news about the actual real world, it's hard not to temporarily think you're actually writing something for parody site The Onion. That's very much the case with this story, which comes courtesy of Christian Bale, Donald Trump and Variety.

According to the Batman and Vice star at the premiere for his new political biopic, he met President Trump once during filming of one of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight movies and the future leader of the free world confused him for his fictional character.

Said Bale:

“I met him, one time. We were filming on ‘Batman’ in Trump Tower and he said, ‘Come on up to the office.' I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president.”

Well, that's not at all terrifying.
