6. Ron Burgundy Is Getting His Own Podcast
Will Ferrell's career of late hasn't been quite as critically successful as it perhaps once was, even though he continues to star in higher-budgeted comedies like the upcoming Holmes And Watson. So maybe that's why he's turning the clock back to his most famous character creation.
In news that can only be described as "kind of a big deal," Ferrell is reviving Ron Burgundy - the legendary Anchorman himself - for a podcast on the iHeart Radio Podcast Network that will debut in 2019. Let's hope Brick, Brian and Champ will all make cameo appearances.
Burgundy announced the podcast himself on Twitter in a heated exchange with CNN's Don Lemon about his hot dog consumption that began with Ferrell claiming Burgundy had had his White House press credentials pulled. Clearly referencing the recent unpleasantness at the White House, Burgundy revealed he'd been removed after claims he ate 12 hotdogs and Lemon played along gamely before the grand plan for the podcast was revealed.
